The stress ends; it has to. There comes a point where it is no longer useful. From one moment to the next, the work changes. Much has been done and what remains is no longer forbidding.
You’ve made it to the other side.
The perspective isn’t there when in the thick of it. At that point staying above the water is the only concern. But once the wave has passed and the waters calmed, new muscles have been formed.
Difficulty isn’t pleasant. Unfortunately for us, it just might be necessary for any progress.
