A Blank Page

There isn’t anything as beautiful for a storyteller than a blank page. There isn’t anything as terrifying, either.

There’s so much possibility in front of you. It’s perfect, crisp, and clean. It is just waiting for your work. However imperfect, it doesn’t matter. That is where it’s going to live.

And while that page’s beauty is undeniable, the satisfaction of seeing it filled with words from the pen — cross-outs and all — brings with it an affirmation that this is what you were meant to do.
