The tool of reflection is essential for the storyteller.

Only through reflection can drafts progress. The first draft is merely setting the the stage, a brain dump of all the ideas you have been playing with. After that, a critical eye is needed.

Through reflection and close reading the story comes together and becomes tighter.

Accepting this means that the writer has also accepted patience.

Reflection requires time.
