You have to decide your best.
As writers, we push and push and attempt to get it perfect. It will never be perfect. We know that. And yet that doesn’t stop us from revising as many drafts as possible and still not shipping.
There comes a point where it has to be let go. The story has been written to the best of our current ability.
The only way for us to see whether or not our best was good enough is to put it in the world and let the audience decide.
If it wasn’t, then now we know. Our new best will be better.
