We are consistently subject to tests. Those tests may be of our own making or from someone else.
The more disciplined we become the more we control our tests. Some may say freedom means escape from such tasks, but the truth is we never escape. We will always be beholden tests.
We have a choice. Rising to the challenge is the more difficult option, and many times we choose the opposite. Giving up is just easier.
But to change perspective and view tests for what they are — opportunities for improvement — our lives become more of a game. The agency is always there. The choice is always there. We have a choice even if we don’t like them. To believe otherwise is to succumb to nihilism, asking why one should even bother becomes the way we wake up to the world.
Face the tests.
