Regrets are filled with shame — as they should be. Otherwise they wouldn’t be regrets. The shame can be crippling.
But it doesn’t have to be.
Whatever you are ashamed of is in the past. And you can stop. Just stop. If something makes you ashamed, don’t do it again.
The answer sounds simple. The reasons are complicated. If we fall into it again, the question must be posed: did we really want to stop in the first place?
Understand what you want and go after it. Be ruthless with whatever is in the way.
