The basic premise for blogging on the writing process every day is to provide a reminder of the goal.
The goal is produce. The goal is to write. The goal is to craft stories that connect with others.
The goal is not to blog.
The blog is a means to an end. Really, it is a public declaration of intention, a means of holding one’s self accountable. It doesn’t matter if anyone reads it or not.
The point is to force a small accounting of where one is in the process. Every day is the different. Blogging allows the writer to take a moment and reflect on the successes and failures — even if they are not truly defined for the world to see.
The author knows. That is enough.
