The Good Distractions

They exist. Don’t be fooled by the word’s negative connotation. Sometimes the distraction is needed when a recharge is necessary.

Athletes can and do overtrain. When they rest, even though their body is telling them to, they can feel pathetic and allow self-doubt to creep in. It’s the same for writers and all other creative types, most likely.

But once that moment passes, the truth of the situation makes itself known, and we are all the stronger because of it.

Don’t fight all of the distractions — just some.
